As a bridge from hospital to home, we provide concentrated therapies (physical, occupational, speech and aquatic) initiating your successful return home as quickly as possible.

After an injury, illness or surgery, Carillon’s AcceleratedREHAB program helps you recover and regain strength, relearn skills, or find new ways of doing things through rehabilitation. Plus, there are two fully equipped therapy gyms—helping you get back on your feet much faster.

Because meeting your home goals is a top priority at Carillon, at the end of your stay in AcceleratedREHAB a therapist will accompany you home to assess your specific needs. You’ll be asked to complete tasks, such as getting in and out of bed and navigating through your home, restroom and shower, to make sure you are safe performing daily tasks on your own. If modifications are needed, recommendations will be discussed. Our full-time social worker will arrange any home health and equipment delivery you will need to continue a successful recovery at home.

Pain management – Staff members have specialized training to provide continuous pain monitoring in order to help decrease discomfort.

Derek Skinner, MD

Dr. Derek Skinner was raised in Levelland, Texas. After receiving his bachelor of science degree at Texas Tech University, Dr. Skinner attended medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, obtaining his medical degree in 2002. He completed his residency in Family Medicine, also at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and is Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. His goal is to provide excellent medical care to the entire West Texas community.
